في حدث غير مسبوق منذ 40 عامًا، قرر الرئيس الأمريكي المنتخب دونالد ترامب أن يقيم مراسم تنصيبه داخل مقر الكونغرس بدلاً من الهواء الطلق بسبب البرد القارس. هذا القرار جاء بعد أن اجتاحت البلاد عاصفة قطبية، مما جعل ترامب يعلن عبر موقع “تروث سوشيال” أنه لا يريد أن يرى الناس يتأذون أو يتعرضون للإصابة بأي شكل. وأضاف أنه أمر بإلقاء خطاب التنصيب، بالإضافة إلى الصلوات والخطب الأخرى، في قاعة الكابيتول.
