The Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, is the result of charged particles from the sun interacting with Earth’s magnetic field. When these particles reach Earth, they get trapped in the magnetic field and are funneled towards the poles, where they collide with the atmosphere and release these stunning lights. The sight is unlike anything else you might see in your lifetime; it’s a blend of science and magic.
The places where you can see the Aurora Borealis include the northern parts of Canada, Alaska, Norway, and Russia.
