الشركة هي نوع من المؤسسات التي تتكون من مجموعة من الأفراد الذين يجتمعون لتحقيق أهداف اقتصادية معينة، مثل تقديم منتجات أو خدمات في السوق. يتم تحديد أنواع الشركات بناءً على هيكلها القانوني والتنظيمي، ويمكن تقسيمها إلى شركات مساهمة وشركات ذات مسؤولية محدودة وشركات تضامن وغيرها.
الشركات المساهمة تعتبر واحدة من أكثر الأنواع شيوعًا، حيث يتم تقسيم رأس المال إلى أسهم يمكن تداولها في البورصة. أما الشركات ذات المسؤولية المحدودة، فتتميز بوجود شركاء يتقاسمون الأرباح والخسائر بنسبة معينة دون التأثير على ممتلكاتهم الشخصية. الشركات التضامنية تتألف من شركاء يتحملون المسؤولية بشكل كامل عن ديون الشركة.
الشركات تلعب دورًا حيويًا في الاقتصاد الحديث، حيث تساهم في خلق فرص عمل وتحقيق التنمية الاقتصادية. تتطلب إدارة الشركات مهارات في القيادة والتنظيم والتخطيط الاستراتيجي.
