العصر – باللغة العربية
العصر هو واحدة من الصلوات الخمس المفروضة في الإسلام. تتم صلاة العصر في الوقت الذي يبدأ فيه الظل بالامتداد وينتهي عند غروب الشمس. يُعتبر هذا الوقت مميزًا لأنه يمثل الانتقال من فترة النهار إلى فترة المساء، وهو وقت تجدد النشاط والاستعداد لإنهاء الأعمال اليومية.
يتميز وقت العصر بأهمية خاصة في حياة المسلمين. إنه وقت للوقوف بين يدي الله، للتضرع والتفكر. يمكن أن يكون وقت العصر مليئًا بالسكينة والسلام الداخلي، حيث يتيح للمؤمنين فرصة لإعادة شحن أرواحهم والارتباط بشكل أعمق بإيمانهم.
تقول الروايات أن صلاة العصر هي إحدى الصلوات التي يوليها الله أهمية خاصة، إذ يُقال أن الله يختبر العبد في هذا الوقت لينظر هل يختار الدنيا أم الآخرة. لذا، فإن صلاة العصر تعتبر امتحانًا يوميًا للمؤمنين لتأكيد وفائهم والتزامهم بدينهم.

Asr – in English
Asr is one of the five obligatory prayers in Islam. It is performed in the afternoon, when the shadow of an object is twice its length until just before sunset.
