ميكيلانجيلو بوناروتي (1475-1564) كان نحاتًا ورسامًا ومهندسًا ومعماريًا وشاعرًا إيطاليًا. ولد في كابريزي، توسكانا، ويُعتبر واحدًا من أعظم فناني عصر النهضة. بعض أشهر أعماله الفنية تشمل تمثال داوود في فلورنسا، والتمثال الأيقوني لموسى في روما، وكذلك اللوحات الجدارية لسقف كنيسة سيستينا في الفاتيكان.
