ولم تكن السياسة بعيدة عن ذلك، إذ شهدت بلغاريا معارك ومفاوضات مع القوى الكبرى مثل الإمبراطورية البيزنطية والدولة العثمانية. وفي بعض الأحيان، كان الحكم البلغاري محورًا لقصص ملحمية تروي كيف تتصارع الدول على النفوذ والقوة.

Have you ever wondered how power and authority leave their mark across the ages? Bulgarian rule was one of those compelling historical periods that shaped the fate of Eastern Europe! This era flourished between the 7th and 12th centuries, turning Bulgaria into a cultural and political hub with significant influence.
The First Bulgarian Empire was established in 681 AD after the Bulgars allied with the Slavs against the Byzantine Empire. Under the leadership of Khan Asparuh, a mighty empire arose that successfully resisted Byzantine advances and cemented its presence.
Then came Bulgaria’s golden age in the 9th century, where the nation became a center for cultural and artistic innovation. It was during this time that Saints Cyril and Methodius created the Slavic alphabet, allowing Bulgarian culture to expand and thrive.
Politics were no less dramatic, as Bulgaria witnessed battles and negotiations with major powers like the Byzantine Empire and the Ottoman State. At times, Bulgarian rule was at the heart of epic stories detailing how nations grappled for influence and power.
