القدس (Al-Quds)
مدينة القدس، التي تُعرف أيضًا بـ”القدس” و”بيت المقدس”، هي واحدة من أقدم المدن في العالم وأكثرها قدسية بالنسبة للعديد من الديانات، بما في ذلك الإسلام والمسيحية واليهودية. تقع القدس في منطقة مرتفعة بين البحر المتوسط والبحر الميت، مما جعلها محوراً للتجارة والثقافة عبر العصور.
تضم القدس العديد من المعالم التاريخية والدينية، مثل المسجد الأقصى وقبة الصخرة، اللذين يُعتبران من أهم المواقع في الإسلام. المسجد الأقصى هو أولى القبلتين وثالث الحرمين الشريفين، ويُعتقد أنه المكان الذي أُسري بالنبي محمد (صلى الله عليه وسلم) منه إلى السماء في رحلة الإسراء والمعراج.
من الناحية المسيحية، تُعد كنيسة القيامة من أقدس المواقع، حيث يُعتقد أنها الموقع الذي صُلب فيه المسيح ودُفن وقام من بين الأموات. أما اليهود، فيعتبرون الحائط الغربي (حائط المبكى) من أقدس المواقع، حيث يعتقدون أنه الجزء المتبقي من هيكل سليمان.

Jerusalem (Al-Quds)
Jerusalem, also known as “Al-Quds” and “The Holy City,” is one of the oldest cities in the world and holds immense religious significance for various faiths, including Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. Nestled in a high area between the Mediterranean Sea and the Dead Sea, it has long been a hub of trade and culture throughout the ages.
Jerusalem boasts numerous historical and religious landmarks, such as the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, both of which are immensely important in Islam. Al-Aqsa Mosque is considered the first qibla (direction of prayer) and the third holiest site in Islam. It is believed to be the location from which the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ascended to heaven during the Night Journey (Isra and Mi’raj).
For Christians, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre is among the most sacred places, believed to be the site where Jesus was crucified, buried, and resurrected. For Jews, the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) is their holiest site, believed to be the remaining part of Solomon’s Temple.
Jerusalem is more than just a city; it is a symbol of hope, resilience, and coexistence. Over the centuries, the city has faced wars and conflicts but has always remained strong and flourishing.
