شافيول إسلام، هو واحد من أبرز الشعراء البنغلادشيين في العصر الحديث. وُلِدَ في عام 1958 في قرية باراتاشور، وقد نشأ وسط الطبيعة التي ألهمت العديد من أعماله. تخرج في جامعة دكا، حيث درس الأدب البنغلادشي، وبدأ ينشر أعماله في أواخر الثمانينات.

Shafiul Islam is one of the prominent Bangladeshi poets of modern times. Born in 1958 in the village of Baratashur, he grew up surrounded by nature that inspired many of his works. He graduated from the University of Dhaka, where he studied Bangladeshi literature, and began publishing his works in the late 1980s.
