تخيل أنك تعيش في حي صغير على أطراف العاصمة الفرنسية باريس، كل شيء يبدو طبيعيًا حتى تسود السماء سحب كثيفة ويبدأ المطر في الانهمار. لكن هذا المطر ليس عاديًا، بل هو أمطار من السمك! إنه مشهد مأخوذ من فيلم خيال علمي، لكنه حقيقة واقعة تحدث في أماكن معينة حول العالم.

This bizarre occurrence is known as “animal rain” and it happens when powerful winds and turbulent waters lift small animals like fish and frogs and carry them through the sky, only to drop them back down again. One of the most famous instances of this happened in the town of Yoro in Honduras, where fish rain down from the sky during intense storms, and the locals gather them in an annual festival known as the “Festival of the Flying Fish.”
But how does it happen? Theories suggest that strong cyclones or intense wind currents scoop up the animals from bodies of water and transport them far distances. While there isn’t a definitive scientific explanation, it adds a touch of magic and mystery to our world.
