في حادثة هزت الأوساط الأردنية والسعودية، لفظ المواطن السعودي زبن الشمري أنفاسه الأخيرة في محافظة الكرك الأردنية بعد تعرضه للطعن بآلة حادة. الجريمة وقعت يوم الثلاثاء الماضي، حيث قام الجاني بطعن الشمري ولاذ بالفرار. وعلى الفور، شكلت الجهات الأمنية الأردنية فريق تحقيق من البحث الجنائي ومديرية شرطة الكرك، وتمكنت من تحديد هوية الجاني ورصد مكانه والقبض عليه مساء يوم الأربعاء

زبن الشمري، البالغ من العمر 48 عامًا، كان قد زار الأردن مؤخرًا. وقد تابعت السفارة السعودية في عمان ملابسات الواقعة وتواصلت مع ذوي المقتول. وأوضح الناطق الإعلامي باسم مديرية الأمن العام الأردنية، العقيد عامر السرطاوي، أن الجاني اعترف بارتكاب الجريمة إثر خلافات سابقة بينه وبين المغدور وآخرين، مشيرًا إلى إحالة الجاني إلى المدعي العام لمحكمة الجنايات الكبرى

Zaben Al-Shammari, 48 years old, had recently visited Jordan. The Saudi embassy in Amman followed up on the incident and communicated with the victim’s family. Jordanian Public Security Directorate spokesperson, Colonel Amer Sartawi, stated that the perpetrator confessed to committing the crime due to previous disputes between him, the victim, and others. The perpetrator has been referred to the Public Prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court
