ليفربول هي مدينة تقع في شمال غرب إنجلترا، وتعتبر إحدى أهم المدن في المملكة المتحدة. تأسست المدينة في عام 1207، وقد عرفت منذ ذلك الحين بتاريخها العريق وتراثها الثقافي الغني. تشتهر ليفربول بمينائها البحري الذي كان من بين الأكثر ازدحامًا في العالم في القرن التاسع عشر. كانت المدينة مركزًا هامًا للتجارة والصناعة البحرية، حيث ساهم ميناؤها بشكل كبير في الثورة الصناعية في بريطانيا.
