جويل إمبييد هو لاعب كرة سلة كاميروني محترف، وُلد في 16 مارس 1994 في ياوندي، الكاميرون. يلعب إمبييد في مركز الـ”سنتر” ويُعرف بمهاراته الفائقة وقدرته على التحكم في الكرة والتسجيل والدفاع. بدأ مسيرته الكروية عندما كان في سن المراهقة بعدما بدأ مسيرته في لعب كرة القدم والكرة الطائرة.
انتقل إمبييد إلى الولايات المتحدة لاستكمال دراسته واللعب في صفوف فريق جامعة كانساس “جايهوكس” في الموسم الدراسي 2013-2014. بفضل أدائه المميز، تم اختياره في المركز الثالث في جولة الاختيارات الأولى لـ”درافت” 2014 من قبل فريق “فيلادلفيا 76رز”.
ورغم معاناته من الإصابات في بداية مسيرته، إلا أنه عاد بقوة ليصبح أحد أفضل اللاعبين في الدوري الأميركي للمحترفين (NBA). حاز على العديد من الجوائز والتكريمات بفضل أدائه المميز على الملعب. يمتلك إمبييد قدرة فائقة على التحكم في الكرة وتسديد الرميات البعيدة والقريبة، بالإضافة إلى قدراته الدفاعية الكبيرة.

Joel Embiid is a professional basketball player from Cameroon, born on March 16, 1994, in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Embiid plays in the center position and is known for his exceptional skills, ball-handling, scoring, and defensive abilities. He began his sports career in his teenage years, initially playing soccer and volleyball.
Embiid moved to the United States to further his education and play for the University of Kansas Jayhawks during the 2013-2014 academic season. Due to his impressive performance, he was selected as the third overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers.
Despite suffering from injuries at the start of his career, Embiid made a strong comeback to become one of the top players in the NBA. He has received numerous awards and accolades for his outstanding on-court performances. Embiid’s game is characterized by his ball-handling skills, ability to shoot from both long and short distances, and significant defensive capabilities.
