مهلكمب “Mahakumbh” هو أكبر وأضخم تجمع ديني في العالم، يُعقد كل 12 عامًا في أحد أربعة مواقع مختلفة في الهند: الله أباد (براياجراج)، هاريدوار، أوجاين، وناشيك. هذا الحدث المذهل يمتد لأكثر من شهرين ويستقطب ملايين الحجاج من مختلف أنحاء العالم للتطهير الروحي في نهر الجانج المقدس.
تبدأ الطقوس مع “اكشايا تريتيا”، وهو اليوم الأول الذي يُعتبر الوقت المثالي للحمام الطاهر. كما يتضمن المهرجان طقوسًا دينية مثل البوجا، الهوان، الكث، والعديد من الاحتفالات الدينية الأخرى. يتدفق الناس من كل حدب وصوب، يعبرون الأنهار والجبال ليغمروا أنفسهم في هذه التجربة الروحية الفريدة.
