فيلادلفيا، المعروفة اختصاراً بـ”فيلي”، هي أكبر مدينة في ولاية بنسلفانيا الأمريكية وواحدة من أقدم المدن في الولايات المتحدة. تأسست في عام 1682 على يد وليام بن، وهو كويكر بريطاني، وسُميت “فيلادلفيا” التي تعني “مدينة المحبة الأخوية” باليونانية. تميزت بتراثها العريق وتأثيرها الهام في تاريخ الولايات المتحدة، حيث كانت مركزًا رئيسيًا للثورة الأمريكية.
أحد أشهر معالمها هو جرس الحرية، الذي يرمز إلى الاستقلال الأمريكي، ويُعتقد أنه رن في 8 يوليو 1776 لإعلان الاستقلال الأمريكي. تعتبر فيلادلفيا أيضًا موطنًا للعديد من المتاحف والمعالم التاريخية مثل متحف فيلادلفيا للفنون، الذي يُعرف بدرجه الطويل الذي ظهر في فيلم “روكي”.
