الإسراء والمعراج هي ليلة مباركة في التاريخ الإسلامي، وتحمل في طياتها الكثير من العبر والدروس. تُحيا هذه الليلة كل عام بذكرى رحلة النبي محمد، صلى الله عليه وسلم، من مكة إلى القدس ثم عروجه إلى السماوات العلى.
تبدأ الرحلة بالإسراء، حيث يقال إن النبي رُفع على البراق – دابة سماوية بسرعة الضوء – وسار بها ليلاً من مكة إلى المسجد الأقصى في القدس. في هذه الرحلة، اختصر النبي مئات الأميال في بضع لحظات، وهذا بحد ذاته يُعد معجزة إلهية. عند وصوله إلى القدس، صلى النبي بالأنبياء جميعاً في مشهد خُلد في ذاكرة المسلمين.
ثم يبدأ المعراج، وهي رحلة الصعود إلى السماوات العُلى. رافق النبي في هذه الرحلة الملائكة، والتقى فيها بالأنبياء في كل سماء، ثم وصل إلى سدرة المنتهى، حيث تحدث إلى الله مباشرةً. خلال هذه الرحلة، فرضت الصلاة كعبادة أساسية للمسلمين.
هذه الليلة لا تُحتفل بها فقط بتذكر أحداثها، بل تُعد فرصة للتأمل والتعبد وتجديد الإيمان. في الإمارات العربية المتحدة، كما في العديد من الدول الإسلامية، تُحيى هذه الليلة بالصلاة والدعاء وتلاوة القرآن. تُعبر الأجواء في هذه الليلة عن مشاعر الفخر والتقدير لذكرى هذا الحدث العظيمة.

Isra and Mi’raj are blessed nights in Islamic history, filled with profound lessons and insights. This night is annually commemorated for the journey of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from Mecca to Jerusalem and his ascension to the heavens.
The journey begins with Isra, where it is said that the Prophet was taken on a celestial steed called Al-Buraq, traveling at lightning speed, from Mecca to Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. In this miraculous event, the Prophet traversed hundreds of miles in mere moments, an event celebrated as a divine miracle. Upon reaching Jerusalem, the Prophet led all the prophets in prayer, a moment etched in the memory of Muslims.
Then comes Mi’raj, the ascension to the heavens. Accompanied by angels, the Prophet ascended through the seven heavens, meeting prophets at each level, and finally reaching Sidrat al-Muntaha, where he spoke directly to Allah. During this journey, the obligation of prayer was established as a fundamental act of worship for Muslims.
This night is not only remembered for its events but is also an opportunity for reflection, worship, and renewing faith. In the United Arab Emirates, as in many Islamic countries, this night is marked with prayers, supplications, and recitation of the Quran. The atmosphere on this night reflects feelings of pride and reverence for this grand occasion.
